Established in 2009, the gallery wolkenbank kunst+räume, primarily represents artists from the east German region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Complemented by national and international positions, the focus is on non-representational art. The programming is pursuing the integration of divers artistic media, with connections to spatial contexts, photography and architecture.
Since 2016, the gallery has been hosting exhibitions in changing venues and outdoor areas of the city of Rostock. In 2021, we opened a new project space of the gallery in a historic barn of the former state owned estate of Klein Warin in the rural area of northwestern Mecklenburg.
